Delegation Headed by Wang Kunxin to South America for International Exchanges and Cooperation

Mr. Wang Kunxin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tourism College of Zhejiang and his delegation, including Mao Jifei, Secretary of the Party Branch of Tourism Planning Department and Dai Ying, head of the Spanish Research and Teaching Section, had a 9-day visit to BrazilandChilefrom December 7th to 15th


In Brazil, Mr. Wang and his mission visited the Sao Paulo State Tourism Association and Universidade Cruzeiro do Sul, where they were warmly welcomed. Ms Sara, the person in charge of the Tourism Association introduced the current situation of the tourism inBraziland the importance of the Association in the promotion of the tourism industry. The two parties also discussed about the cooperation between the two countries in the cultivation of tourism personnel. Universidade Cruzeiro do Sul is the largest private university inBrazil. With over 500,000 students, the university has schools scattered all over the country. The visiting delegation and the persons in charge of international exchanges and tourism department of the university had an in-depth talk. A memorandum of cooperation was signed.


In Chile, the delegation paid visit to the Chile Urban Technical College. The two parties had an in-depth discussion on such items as the cooperation between majors, the exchanges of teachers and students andChilestudents’ study inChinaand reached primary consensus and signed “the Memorandum of Understanding on School Cooperation”. During the meeting, the delegates had cordial talks with the tourism majors from the college, who expressed their strong will to come to study inChina. Meanwhile, the delegation also had talks and discussions with ASIA REPS on internship cooperation.


The visit is another try of our college in exploiting international cooperation and achieved breakthrough. Tourism in the vastSouth  Americais on the rapid rise. With the increase of Chinese tourists and the frequent exchanges and cooperation, there is a soaring need for tourism and language talents, offering a promising future for cooperation between China and Brazil.
