On July 27th, led by Mr. Li Lihua, the Vice President of Yu Da University of Science and Technology (Taiwan) or YDU, the YDU study group of overseas enterprises visited TCZJ. Mr. Wang Zhonglin, the Vice President of TCZJ and the director of International Education Department welcomed the guests and held a meeting with them.
In the meeting, Mr. Wang offered a detailed introduction to the development history and prospects of TCZJ and reviewed the achievement of exchange and cooperation between two schools in the past few years. Moreover, Mr. Li briefly introduced the purpose of this visit and shared YDU’s rich experience in fields like leisure tourism and business development with TCZJ. Prof.Kang Baoling, the head of the teaching and research section of leisure service and management in Tourism Planning Department, gave a lecture on “Development of Leisure Tourism Industry in Mainland, China” and had a heated discussion with the YDU study group members.
Later, the study group also visited the Tourism Bureau and Education Bureau of Zhejiang Province. Mr. Fu Wei, the Vice Secretary of Party Committee and Vice Chief of Tourism Bureau Welcomed the visiting group and made a detailed introduction to the development of Zhejiang Tourism and the existing problems for them. Then the group had a talk with Ms. Qian Xiaoqing, who was in charge of Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan affairs in Education Bureau, and two sides exchanged views on education in mainland and Taiwan.
YDU was solely founded and financed by Dr. Kwang-Ya Wang and his wife in 1999 and is now composed of 3 undergraduate schools, namely Operation Management, Humanistic Society and Leisure and Creation, accommodating 15 departments, 3 graduate institutes and about 8,000 students.Since July, 2009, when TCZJ and YDU officially signed a cooperation agreement, two sides have actively promoted the exchange and cooperation of faculties and students with each other. Up to now, 29 students and two delegations have participated in the various activities between two sides such as exchange, visit and training. On the other hand, YDU has also dispatched 40 students and teachers to visit TCZJ.
