On October 16th , the opening ceremony for 2015 Sino-Australia Joint Program was held in the Qiandao Campus of TCZJ. Mr. Jin Bingxiong, the President of TCZJ, Ms. Lei Minghua, the Dean of Qiandao Lake International School of Hotel Management and a number of staff from International Education School attended the ceremony, which was hosted by Mr. Yan Yiping, the Dean of International Education School. Five honored guests from William-Anglis Institute, namely Mr. Nicholas Hunt, the CEO, Mr. Wayne Crosbie, the Director of International Business, Mr. Garry Dick, the Former Director of International Business, Mr. Ian Nicolson, the Director of Chinese Business, and Mr. Peter Smith, the Business Manager, and Ms. Zhao Yan, the manager of Shanghai Representative Office of Anglis Consulting Corporation were invited to the ceremony.
During the ceremony, Mr. Jin delivered an inspirational speech, expressing congratulation to the new students of the Sino-Australia Joint Program for joining TCZJ and welcoming the honored guests. He recognized the achievement of the Sino-Australia Joint Program since its establishment in 2006 and hoped that it can be further promoted. To reach that goal, three expectations for students were offered by Mr. Jin—first, to cherish time and the learning opportunity; second, to sharpen English skill and develop an international vision; third, to persist in pursing dreams and being independent. Mr. Hunt, the Australian representative, also delivered a speech, stressing the importance of English learning for freshmen and hoping they could master professional skills to study in William-Anglis Institute three years later. Afterwards, Mr. Nicolson made a detailed introduction of this joint program. The ceremony ended with a speech delivered by a student representative named Chen Chen.
Another opening ceremony for 2015 Sino-Australia Joint Program was held in the main campus of TCZJ located in Hangzhou, and Mr. Wang Zhonglin, the Deputy President of TCZJ and representatives of Australian side attended it.
