On October 28th, a delegation of three from Yu Da University of Science and Technology (Taiwan) or YDU, which was composed of Prof. Chen Jiansheng, the President, Mr. Li Yixiang, Dean of Student Affairs Office and Mr. Lin Kairong, the Dean of Development Office, visited TCZJ. Mr. Jin Bingxiong, the President of TCZJ and Mr. Wang Zhonglin, the Vice President of TCZJ welcomed the guests and held talk with them on strengthening cooperation between two sides. Directors of Teaching Affairs and International Education Department of TCZJ also joined the reception.
In the talk, Mr. Jin made a detailed introduction of building TCZJ into a key and model vocational college, the construction of new Qiandao Lake Campus, enrollment scale, the breakthrough in teaching fields. Two sides had a review of the existing cooperation programs and discussed how to explore more cooperation fields on faculty exchange, teaching research and student exchange.
The guests also visited Zhejiang Tourism Museum, the Showroom for TCZJ History and Sui Garden, all of which are located on TCZJ campus. Mr. Li gave a lecture on exchange programs to Taiwan for students from departments of Hotel Management, Foreign Languages and Business Administration, and made an analysis of the setup and characteristics of the current majors in YDU, offering a guidance for students interested in the exchange programs between two schools.
YDU was solely founded and financed by Dr. Kwang-Ya Wang and his wife in 1999 and is now composed of 3 undergraduate schools, namely Operation Management, Humanistic Society and Leisure and Creation, accommodating 15 departments, 3 graduate institutes and about 8,000 students. In 2009, TCZJ and YDU signed a cooperation agreement, and ever since 29 students from TCZJ have been sent to exchange in YDU.
