The signing ceremony of the Zhejiang & Peking University Digital Culture and Tourism Joint Center co-established by TCZJ and the Advanced Institute of Information Technology Peking University (hereinafter referred to as "PUAIIT") was successfully held on June 11. There were distinguished guests coming for this event, including Zhang Guoyou, former Vice President of Peking University and Chief Economist of PUAIIT, Jiang Yun, Executive Dean, Xiang Yong, Deputy Dean of Peking University Cultural Industry Research Institute, Zhang Yan, Director of Science and Technology and Education Division, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, TCZJ President Du Lanxiao, Deputy Dean Lu Wen, and Heads of relevant departments of TCZJ, who attended the signing ceremony.
The signing ceremony was chaired by Luo Weijie, Deputy Dean of the PUAIIT. President Du from TCZJ and Jiang Yun signed a strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of both sides of Zhejiang & Peking University Digital Culture and Tourism Joint Center. From that moment on, Zhejiang & Peking University Digital Culture and Tourism Joint Center was formally set up.
Before the ceremony, President Du and her party visited the exhibition hall of scientific research achievements of the PUAIIT, and learned about the typical case of the application of innovative cultural tourism in digital laboratory.
At the ceremony, President Du made a speech reviewing the development process of the cooperation between the two sides, showing her much confidence in complementing each other's strengths and jointly promoting the development of digital culture and tourism construction in Zhejiang Province.
Director Zhang Yan from Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism offered her congratulations on the set-up of the Joint Center, expecting the cooperation between the two parties which can contribute to the development of cultural Zhejiang and poetry Zhejiang. At the same time, Professor Xiang Yong gave a detailed introduction to the Joint Center and its construction goals, saying that the advantages and practical experience of PUAIIT in the field of information technology will provide a solid guarantee for the "soft innovation + hard innovation" of the development of cultural tourism.
TCZJ firmly believed that the newly-established joint center will promote the development of TCZJ to a higher quality with the combination of the resource advantages of Peking University and Zhejiang Province to focus on the development of digital cultural tourism in the Yangtze River Delta and even the whole country.
